The Red Fox Trading Post is located inside Ndakinna Cultural Center & Museum. The Abenaki inspired trading post offers many unique handmade items made by Red Fox as well as a large selection of other Native American items. We offer a very large selection of herbs. Red Fox Herbals offers a variety of organic herbs some of which are from right here in Vermont. We carry White sage, Cedar, Sweet grass, St Johns wart to name a few. We also carry a large selection of organic herbals teas, baths and soaps as well as Vermont made candles, Abenaki jewelry, Walking sticks, dream catchers, Minnetonka Moccasins, Cards, magnets, postcards, Abenaki rattles and so much more.

   The trading post is also full of craft making supplies such as glass pony beads, Sinew, Jingle cones, abalone shells and more. We have posted some of our products below for you to see.

Driving Directions

From I-89    Take Exit 8 (Montpelier) follow route 2 to East Montpelier.. At intersection in East Montpelier bear Right staying on route 2 approx 1 mile on the left.

From Barre:  Follow route 14 North to East Montpelier. At Bridge take right onto route 2. At intersection in East Montpelier bear Right staying on route 2 approx 1 mile on the left.

From St Johnsbury Follow route 2 toward Montpelier. We will be on the right just outside of Plainfield.

The owner Red Fox takes pride in his Abenaki Heritage and wants to offer his customers items that are not always available everywhere else. Red Fox makes his own Indian jewelry and Indian dream catchers as well as a few other Abenaki Indian inspired items. However his main focus is herbs and botanicals. Red Fox Trading Post offers a vast selection of herbs & botanicals many from Vermont as well as many hard to get herbs from across the country. Natural & Alternative healing is coming back and Red Fox wants to offer the herbs so home herbalists can have access to them as an alternative.
